Most thrift stores will have a jewelry case or in some stores a plastic basket with junk jewelry in it. Make sure you stop and dig a little. There may just be a $6,000 watch in there!

It is from the 70's ~ the reason it sold for so much is the brand....Patek Philippe.
It is not as common as "Rolex" and may end up in that jewelry basket at your local thrift store! So make sure you check!
